HER STORY

Fatima Sydow made her first 100-litre pot of curry at the age of 16 and has been sharing her popular recipes ever since.

The popularity of her Facebook page, ‘Cape Malay Cooking with Fatima Sydow’, led to the decision to self publish her first cookbook - ‘Cape Malay Cooking with Fatima Sydow’.

The opportunities that ensued were nothing short of breathtaking and included a televised cooking programme called ‘Kaap, Kerrie and Koeksisters’, followed by her second published cookbook.

Fatima promises to take your taste buds back into time to her ancestral lands; the taste of sweet and sour, the slow cooked meat, and bay leaves all make for a Cape Malay flavour explosion.
