Cape Town’s food and market hub, The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, has welcomed a new tenant – a brand new Col’Cacchio GO.  The location has opened just a few months following success of the group’s first GO store in Westlake.

Launched in April 2025, Col’Cacchio GO is the latest evolution for the 33-year-old proudly South African brand. It’s a bold reimagining of Italian-inspired dining tailored for South Africa’s fast-paced lifestyle. Blending the brand’s signature artisanal ingredients with the convenience of quick-service formats, GO offers generous family-style meals, health-conscious options, and premium flavours - all boxed for delivery or takeaway.

“It’s not just fast food; it’s a curated experience that connects with modern consumer needs,” says Etienne Pieterse, group CEO of Col’Cacchio. “With Col’Cacchio GO, we’re delivering the same craftsmanship and authenticity that has defined our brand for over 33 years, but in a format that meets today’s consumer needs.”

Founded in 1992, Col’Cacchio has built its reputation on crafting Italian-inspired cuisine with a steadfast commitment to artisanal ingredients and culinary authenticity. From wood-fired pizzas topped with handpicked tomatoes and premium pastas, to homemade sauces and soups, every dish reflects a devotion to quality and tradition.

In selecting the Old Biscuit Mill as the location, the Col’Cacchio team looked for a neighbourhood hub which would provide access to a broad spectrum of offices, students and residents. The new GO store is conveniently located between the retail outlets, bustling market, and the formal restaurant tenants.

Once a biscuit factory founded in the early 1900s by John Pyott (he’s the brains behind Romany Creams and Lemon Creams), the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock is a vibrant culinary and cultural hub that still echoes its edible origins. The site’s industrial bones, once used to produce flour and biscuit mix, now house artisanal eateries, food markets, and ingredient-driven restaurants that celebrate local produce and global flavours. The Mill’s modern offerings pay homage to its legacy of food innovation while embracing Cape Town’s evolving palate.

"We have been so warmly welcomed into the community already and we cannot wait to partner with more business and community members, as we enjoy some great quality Italian food together,” Etienne adds. “We know that South Africans are looking for more than just a meal – they want value, convenience, and quality. We’ve created Col’Cacchio GO to deliver all three.”

With the launch of Col’Cacchio GO, the brand is expanding its legacy, ensuring that great food remains within reach – whether customers choose to dine in, take out, or have their meals delivered straight to their doorstep.

Visit the brand new Col’Cacchio at The Old Biscuit Mill - Unit A114, The Old Biscuit Mill, 375 Albert Road in Woodstock. The store is open seven days a week from 10h30 to 21h30.

Ends.
